CHARGE YOUR TITAN SOLAR GENERATOR

There are three ways to charge your Titan Solar Generator: with solar energy, with an AC charger (wall charger) and with a cigarette case charger in the car. Titan can be charged from all three sources simultaneously.

*It is important to ensure that ALL THREE CHARGING SOURCES TOGETHER DO NOT EXCEED 1000 W PER BATTERY.

Solar power charging

There are two sets of Anderson connectors designed for solar charging. See Figure 2 below.Controls, displays, connections.

Each set can charge up to 1000 watts. You can connect more than 1000 watts per set; However, the generator limits the load to 1000 watts per set. This can be beneficial if your system has a battery and you want to limit the charge rate and get more power when the sun is low.

* DO NOT EXCEED 145V SOLAR INPUT.

When purchasing solar panels from Point Zero Energy, please follow the diagrams in this manual. If you buy solar panels from another source, make sure it is set to keep the open circuit voltage below 145V.

SEE FIGURES 4-7 for wiring diagrams for Point Zero Energy solar kits.

Solar power charging

  1. Place your solar panels where they receive the most direct sunlight possible.
  2. Connect the solar panels to the generator with the correct configuration.
  3. Your batteries are fully charged when the battery gauge monitor reads 100% (see the BATTERY COUNTERS section to read the battery counter). There is no harm in leaving the solar panels connected even when the batteries are fully charged.

load from the wall

  1. Make sure the AC battery charger is set for the correct supply voltage.
  1. Plug the AC battery charger into any power outlet using the included power cord.
  2. Connect the red Anderson plug end of the AC battery charger to the Titan's AC charge port.
  3. Turn on the AC battery charge switch.

p. 5

(Video) Titan Solar Generator - 3000w Inverter + 2000w Max Solar Array + Expandable Lithium Battery

Charge for the cigarette door in the car

  1. Using the included cigarette port adapter, plug the end of the cigarette port into your car's cigarette port.
  2. Plug the SAE end of the adapter into the Titan Solar Generator's 12V charge port (SEE FIGURE 2).

*CAUTION: THIS WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR BATTERY.

THIS CHARGING METHOD CONSUMES UP TO 15 AMPS OF YOUR CAR BATTERY. SOME CIGARETTE PORTS MAY NOT HAVE CAPACITY TO HANDLE THE LOAD. MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE HAS ABOUT THE CARGO CAPACITY BEFORE USING THIS METHOD. ALSO, IF YOUR CAR'S BATTERY IS DEADLY DISCHARGE, THE 15A WIRE FUSE WILL BLOW.

SAFE MODE

When the battery is discharged below normal operating levels, the Titan Solar Generator will go into fail-safe mode. In safe mode, Titan will not turn on with the ignition switch. To exit safe mode, the battery needs to be charged. To do this, first turn the power switch of the Titan Solar Generator to the OFF position. Then charge the battery from one of three sources.

The easiest way is to use the AC charger and fully charge the battery. Second, use solar charging. To do this, use a SOLAR PANEL connected to the MC4 to SAE adapter, which then connects to the 12V charging port.

(CAUTION: DO NOT USE MORE THAN ONE 12V SOLAR PANEL)

Leave the solar panel connected for 5 minutes, then turn the Titan's power switch to DC ONLY MODE. If the voltage is activated and is 20 volts or more, you can now remove the solar panel and charge normally with solar energy by connecting it to the solar panel charging port.

If it does not turn on or the voltage is below 20 volts, turn off the Titan Solar Generator, leave it plugged in for another 5 minutes and check again.

Repeat this process until the generator reaches more than 20 volts.

Third, connect the Titan Solar Generator to a 12V car outlet with the included car charger port adapter.Attention: This can take a long time. and drain your car battery completely.

p. 7

ADD MULTIPLE BATTERY PACKS

*IMPORTANT:If you add multiple batteries, this is the casecritical that Follow the instructions belowin order to

1.) The battery gauge is calibrated to read and display the correct state of charge

2.) All batteries are balanced BEFORE they are connected to the solar generator.

* CONNECTING UNBALANCED BATTERIES TO A SYSTEM WILL DAMAGE ONE OR MORE BATTERIES.

BATTERY COUNTER CALIBRATION

  1. Connect the first battery by stacking the Titan Power Module on top of the battery, making sure the rubber feet on the generator line up with the circular notches on the battery.
  1. Squeeze the four metal latches on the sides of the battery. It may be necessary to push down on the generator to close the latch.
  2. The battery is already connected.
  3. Switch on the generator (DC or DC/AC).

p. 8

USING YOUR TITAN SOLAR GENERATOR

After the initial setup, your Titan Solar Generator is ready to use. The Titan solar generator has two usage modes: DC ONLY and DC/AC. These two modes can be selected using the power button.

Middle selection is OFF, bottom is DC ONLY and top is DC/AC.

Modo CC:When you only need DC power to charge cell phones, tablets, lamps, etc., you can save power by using DC ONLY mode. However, none of the sockets work in this mode.

DC mode activates the battery indicator and the four 12V connections on the front of the solar generator. Optionally, you can also use the USB adapters supplied with these four 12V connections.

  • IMPORTANT: The four 12V ports are each rated for up to 20A; However, they are also limited to a combined current rating of 20 total amps. For example, you can use 20A on one port OR 10A on two ports OR 5A on all four ports.

If it exceeds 20 amps, the fuse will blow and need to be replaced.

DC/AC-Modus:This mode turns on the DC power as explained above, as well as the six 15A 120V AC outlets and the 120V RV outlet.

The six 15 to 120 volt outlets are isolated on two 15 amp circuit breakers. The three left outputs are on one switch and the three right outputs are on the other. This means that the three outlets on the left are rated for 15 amps per outlet, for a total of 15 amps combined. The three on the right are also rated at 15 amps per output, for a total of 15 amps combined.

So if you want to use more than 15A total AC power, you need to connect 15A or less on the left side and 15A or less on the right side.

(Video) Titan Solar Generator 2 Year Review

VR output:The 30 amp RV plug can be connected to RV or other loads where you need more than 15 amps.

p. 9

BATTERY INDICATOR

battery meter reading

The battery gauge shows an image of a battery. When the battery runs out, there will be a graphic display inside the battery, the darker color will gradually decrease until the battery runs out. It also displays the battery's remaining capacity in amp-hours, as well as a charge and discharge indicator. When the battery is low, these arrows point down. When the battery is charging, the arrows point up. The backlight also flashes while charging.

The battery gauge also shows the percentage of battery capacity remaining as well as the estimated time remaining in your battery based on your current charge. This is only accurate if you use a constant load that doesn't fluctuate.

It also displays battery voltage, current and power consumption in watts. The battery meter measures the total energy entering or leaving the battery. This includes idle power consumption, any drive inefficiencies, and total AC and DC power used.

  2. Select "CAP" and click "OK" to enter the capacity setting.
  3. Use the ^ arrow keys to set each digit to the appropriate battery capacity number.
  4. After setting the battery capacity, press the ESC button twice.

*IMPORTANT: DO NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS IN THIS MENU. OTHERWISE YOUR GAUGE WILL NOT CALIBRATE PROPERLY.

WHAT CAN I POWER?

The Titan Solar Generator can power many household appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, microwave ovens and kitchen appliances. Its pure sine wave output will safely operate power tools, electronics, and medical devices such as CPAP machines.

When deciding what to power, you need to calculate the continuous and peak loads for each device you intend to run at the same time to determine if the total wattage is within the generator's capacity. Keep in mind that run times will vary depending on the number of batteries and solar panels.

If large amounts of AC power are consumed when the battery is low, the inverter may shut down earlier than normal and still have usable battery capacity. In this case switch the Titan Solar Generator off and on again. Try to reduce power consumption.

STORING YOUR TITAN SOLAR GENERATOR

The Titan Solar Generator holds a charge for up to 5 years. However, to maximize battery life, you should use 10% battery life once a year. Make sure each battery has at least 50% charge and the POWER switch is in the OFF positionbefore saving.

Store your Titan Solar Generator in a cool, dry environment away from flammable materials or gases.

*FAILURE TO STORE AND MAINTAIN YOUR TITAN SOLAR GENERATOR PROPERLY WILL VOID YOUR PRODUCT WARRANTY.

CAN I CONNECT MY TITAN TO MY HOUSE'S CIRCUIT BLOCK?

No, since the Titan is 120V and your home power supply is 240V, we do not recommend connecting the Titan to your home circuit.

WHAT SYSTEM SIZE DO I NEED?

1-500 watts of solar energy, and a battery is more powerful than any other portable system available. It is large enough to operate most appliances including fridge, washing machine, microwave, stove, fans, lamps, TV and other electronics.

2-1000 watts of solar energy:With the extra solar power, you can power anything that 500 watts of solar power can power and more. This means you can run most things when the sun is out without draining the battery, and it will still produce plenty of power on cloudy days.

3-1500 watts of solar energy:Typically, with 1500 watts of solar power, you also add a second battery to take advantage of the extra power. This means you can now run a fridge, freezer and much more including water pumps, vacuums, power tools etc. You can even turn on a small air conditioner to stay cool during the day.

4-2000 watts of solar energy:Similar to the 1500 watt system, only it charges even faster and offers more power, especially on cloudy days. You can also check out our off-grid calculator to show you how much solar and battery storage you need.

P. twenty

CAN THE TITAN RUN 3000 WATTS OR ONLY 1500 WATTS?As with any system, it is only as strong as its weakest link. The Titan Solar Generator was designed from the ground up to be expandable, so many system limits will not be reached until other components are upgraded accordingly. For example, MPPT charge controllers are capable of charging up to 2000 watts. However, you don't want to charge at 2000 watts with just a 2000wh battery. The same applies to the investor. The inverter is designed for up to 3000 watts of continuous power. However, a battery pack will not last very long at 3000 watts and it is recommended to go below 1500 watts when using only one battery pack. This ensures longer battery life and prevents the battery from shutting down due to excessive current or temperature.

So to take advantage3000 watt inverter, and 2000 watts of solar charging, it is best to have at least 2 batteries connected to the system.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY DEVICE WILL WORK WITH THE TITAN SOLAR GENERATOR?

When figuring out which devices can be powered by your Titan Solar Generator, you need to figure out how many steady loads each device you intend to run has.simultaneouslyto determine if the total number of watts is within the capacity of the generator.

You can find the device's wattage by looking at the manufacturer's information (this information is usually stamped or printed on most devices and devices) or by measuring the wattage with a Kill-A-Watt meter. Add up all the wattages of the devices to be used to determine if the total wattage is within the maximum continuous and peak power rating of the Titan Solar Generator.
