It's no secret that I helped design it.Titan-Solargenerator. I worked with the owners of Point Zero Energy to bring to market the best solar generator ever made.
You could say that I have a biased opinion. But not really. If something else is better I will recommend it to people. The fact is that Titan has been on the market for over a year and even the biggest manufacturers of solar generators like Goal Zero, MAXOAK, Ecoflow, Inergy, Renogy and others have not produced anything better.
In fact, most of these companies have released every new model of solar generator in the last 6-12 months, long after the Titan was released, and still haven't gotten over it.
Check out this video and this article that show a direct comparison between applesThe 8 Best Solar Generators:
Note that although I helped design the Titan with the owners of Point Zero and have known them for many years, I own 0% of the company, not on the payroll at all, and even had my own for my own, buy both Titan solar generators. I received ZERO compensation from Point Zero for my advice, projects or contributions. And I totally agree with that.
To be clear, I'm not complaining. I wanted to help bring to market the best system ever, and I'm proud to have been a part of that. What I am saying is that I have no biased opinions as I have had to pay thousands and thousands of dollars for my own Titan gear.

off grid cab
How did the Titan Solar Generator last a whole year? I literally had the first device and have been using it for over a year. Shortly after receiving my first Titan, I purchased ouroff the grid family cabinThis required a bit of work in terms of electricity.
When I bought the cab, I actually had an old Inergy Kodiak as an "off-grid" setup. It came with solar panels to charge the Kodiak and extra batteries, but unsurprisingly, the Kodiak and extra batteries were long dead. I likecodes, but the batteries really impede the performance of the Kodiak. Not to mention the solar panel wires burned because Inergy was a bit tricky with installing solar panels on the Kodiak andother systems that made. This is one of the reasons I no longer recommend or use your equipment.
I needed a serious power solution that could replace the existing solar system. Obviously the Titan was my choice because it has a 3000W inverter, powerful enough to run everything in this cabin at once. Titan is also very easy to use.expandable batteriesI knew I wouldn't have complicated wiring with external batteries.
I was able to take the existing solar panels that were on top of the cabin off the grid and connect them to other salvaged solar panels to generate more power for the Titan and cabin. It worked great for our basic needs. Lights, fans, large refrigerators, televisions, electronics, chargers, etc.
What surprised me the most was the energy consumption of our propane stove. What I never noticed was that the stove did not have a pilot light like a gas stove. Use an electric igniter that burns red hot to ignite the propane gas to heat the stove. The igniter is not always on when the oven is baking/heating, but it turns on and off regularly. The cigarette lighter only requires around 700+ watts to run. That's quite a bit of power to run a small cigarette lighter.
I wanted the off-grid taxi to be not only a comfortable and fun place for my family, but also a potential place of escape in case of a major emergency. This means that he had to be prepared for a long-term life.
that's why Ienhanced array of solar panelsand added more batteries to my Titan solar generator. It had a total of 3 Titan batteries and 4000w solar panels.
Lots of people stayed in the booth to fix all the different problems that we weren't aware of so we could work on them and fix them for a long life.
We found out we had septic issues, water line issues, propane issues (nothing dangerous) and other little quirks. But one topic that never came up was the Titan. With a 6000 Wh battery, this equates to 2-4 days of stored energy, depending on what is used and how power is rationed. If the sun doesn't shine for 3 days and we ration electricity, we could basically support essentials every 3 days.
But since I installed 4,000W solar panels, I've increased ourpeak sun hoursfrom about 5 hours a day to about 8 to 10 hours a day depending on the time of year. This means that instead of only generating up to 10,000 Wh of electricity per day, I can generate between 16,000 and 20,000 Wh of electricity leaving the Titan with panels.
Panel overload simply means having more panel power connected to a system than the system can handle. The Titan can only let in 2000W of power, but since I hooked up 4000W, it's overrated.

If I hook up 2000W panels, I could output around 1000W at 9am, since the sun isn't very high in the sky yet. But with 4000W panels attached, I'm generating twice the power at 9am. than with only 2000 W panels connected. That means I'm doing 2000w at 9am and I don't have to wait until 11am to do 2000w like I would if I only had 2000w on panels.
I have them for thatRigid Kit Titan++ 4,000available to people because I've been running this setup for a long time. I know first hand that this really is an extremely powerful kit for long term power outages.
It doesn't matter if it's aPower outage in California due to strong winds, Ahurricane in florida, AWintersturm en Texas,Asnow storm in idaho, ANon-Missouri Tornadoes, floods in louisiana, or other natural disasters or emergencies. The Titan really is the absolute best option for solar generators. These disasters won't go away. Every year these disasters are repeated in different ways in different places. In fact, they become more frequent and worse.
Since I installed the Titan++4000 kit in my off-grid cabin, I have never lost power again. Titan ran my family's offline cabin non-stop. It's an incredible story.
Our first power outage
I mentioned that I have two Titan solar generators. One is permanently installed in my family's off-grid cabin. The second, which I also paid for, I keep at home in case the power goes out.
You may be wondering why I don't have solar power on my house when I love solar generators and solar panels so much. To be honest, my electric bill is around $50 a month. Going off the grid at home costs tens of thousands of dollars, and as such, it would take decades for my savings to pay off.
The last large solar device I bought cost around $32,000 and didn't include a ton of extra batteries to make up for several days of bad weather. $32,000 ÷ $50 = 640 months before breaking even. It's 53 years! So I'm 84 years old!
If my electric bill was $400 a month, it would make a lot of sense to go off the grid or top up my account, since I would be back in 6 or 7 years.
I don't have to worry about going offline because I have my Titan at home. I have over 3000w panels at home and 2 batteries in my Titan. I found this to be enough for my household electricity needs to power my essentials for a few days, even in bad weather. Because I have so many solar panels, I can usually generate a bit of power even on partly cloudy days and help keep my batteries at the same percentage throughout the day or even charge a bit.
If it's a clear sunny day after a power outage, the entire system will recharge in a few hours.
The first blackout we had after getting the Titan was very interesting. When the power went out, we had no idea how long it would last, as most power outages do. I waited about 1 hour before taking my Titan out because I didn't want to set it up and run extension cords everywhere if it wasn't necessary.
After 1 hour without power I rode the Titan. I lost extension cords. I turned on the fridge, freezer, various lights, TV, chargers, etc. It was spring so it was neither hot nor cold so we didn't have to worry about air conditioning or heating.

It also happened after the sun went down, meaning I was unable to install my solar panels to meet my electricity needs. So I make a point of getting a second battery or more for people. Having more batteries makes it much easier to get through the night without running out of power.
My family and I went to bed comfortably knowing that during the outage we had enough power to keep our essentials running for as long as we needed. Fortunately, power was back on the next morning. But we ran everything we needed to, went to a family movie that night, and didn't run out of battery.
It was reassuring to know that if the power didn't come back on in the morning, I could put up the solar panels and we'd be fully charged in a few hours while still running the fridge, freezer, and other essentials.
since then I havebuilt-in switchso I can plug my Titan into the breaker and operate certain parts of my house without an extension cord. This must be done by a licensed electrician and you will need a 30A 3 prong plug installed that you connect from the Titan to power a sub panel that runs specific circuits in the home.
1 year review
Since I got my Titans I have experienced multiple power outages. I drove my taxi off the grid without stopping. I was able to help others operate essential equipment including CPAP, oxygenators, and other medical equipment that helped people with power outages. This would not have been possible without Titan's performance, expandability, and portability.

Also, I like to grab my Titan, haul it to my trailer, and plug in the shore power cord.the Titan and run all my RVlike you are on a camping trip. I installed 2100W solar panels on the roof of my trailer. It's very easy to hook up to my Titan and RV as the Titan is powerful enough to run everything, has enough panels for fast charging, and a big enough battery to run all my overnight gear with no problem. We can stay in places for as long as we want and have the energy we need.
The Titan is truly the most powerful solar generator ever launched. It's amazing to be part of a legacy that is redefining the world of solar generators.
If you want the same level of protection as I do when it comes to preparing for emergencies, disasters, and long-term power outages, I highly recommend taking a look at the Titan Solar Generator. It really is unparalleled and has been unmatched for quite some time. My years of testing and analysis have shown that it can do everything I need it to during these difficult times.
